Our Finish Carpentry Approach

Clean transitions. Precision fit.

Finish carpentry is the last thing installed and the first thing noticed. We set trim profiles, material selections, and joint details before installation starts. Tight tolerances require planning, not guesswork.

You see how trim, doors, and built-ins meet adjacent surfaces before scope is locked. Every joint, reveal, and transition is verified against the actual field conditions of your home.

Common Questions

Interior Finish Carpentry FAQ

01Can finish carpentry be added to an existing remodel scope?

Yes. We integrate finish carpentry into kitchen, bathroom, and whole-home projects. Standalone trim packages are also available for homes that need detail work without a full remodel.

02Do you match existing trim profiles in older Portland homes?

Yes. We source or mill matching profiles to maintain consistency with existing architectural details. Many Portland homes built before 1940 have profiles that are no longer stock items.

03How long does a finish carpentry project take?

A single-room trim package runs 3 to 5 days. Whole-home trim, door hanging, and built-in work typically takes 2 to 4 weeks depending on scope and material lead times.

04Does finish carpentry require permits?

Trim, molding, and built-in installation are cosmetic and do not require permits. If structural modifications are needed to accommodate built-ins, permits may apply.
