If our work fails, we come back
Every H&C project carries a written one-year workmanship warranty, backed by our Oregon contractor bond and insurance. Here is what it covers, where it stops, and how to claim on it.
Why We Put It In Writing
Why our workmanship warranty is in writing
Every contractor will tell you they stand behind their work. You find out what that means the first time something moves: a tile lifts, a seam opens, a door stops latching. What matters then is whether there is a document with your name on it and a crew who answers the phone.
There is. It is signed, it is handed to you at closeout with your closed permits, and it names what is covered so the answer is already settled. The limits are written on this page for the same reason: you should be able to read the whole promise before you rely on it.
We are licensed, bonded and insured in Oregon under CCB #251405. If we ever disagreed with you about a claim, the CCB dispute process exists and we would not stand in the way of it.
At A Glance
- One year on our workmanship, from the date of substantial completion
- Signed and handed over at closeout with your closed permits
- Report within thirty days of noticing, not thirty days of the work
- We inspect, and we carry the cost of a valid repair
- Manufacturer warranties on what we install pass through to you
- The CCB dispute process stays open to you either way
12 months from substantial completion, on all workmanship we perform.
What It Covers
What the one-year warranty covers
Anything our crews built
Every joint, cut, connection and finish we installed under the original contract, for twelve months from substantial completion. If it fails because of how we built it, we come back and fix it and you pay nothing.
Repair or replacement, our call
Some failures take a repair, some take the piece coming out and going back properly. We make that call, because we are the ones standing behind the result for the rest of the year.
The paperwork, handed over
A signed warranty at closeout, handed over with your closed permits and inspection records. A document you can still find in two years, in the folder with everything else about the job.
Where It Stops
Where the warranty coverage ends
Every contractor's warranty has the same boundaries. Ours are on this page so you can read them now, while it is a detail, instead of later, when it matters.
Materials you supplied
Materials you bought carry their own supplier warranty, and that is the route for a faulty one. We will still come and tell you what went wrong and what it takes to put right.
Normal wear
Caulk shrinks, wood moves with the seasons, grout wants attention every few years. A house breathes and settles, so ordinary ageing lands under maintenance.
Work changed after we left
Coverage follows what we built. Once somebody else alters it, theirs is the work in question. Call us first and we will tell you straight whether the change affects it.
Products, which have their own
Appliances, windows, roofing and fixtures carry manufacturer warranties. Those run separately and longer than ours, and we pass every one of them to you at closeout.
Making A Claim
How to make a warranty claim
Tell us within thirty days
In writing or by email, once you notice it. The thirty days run from discovery, so something that surfaces in month eleven is still a live claim.
We come and look
We schedule an inspection and confirm what is happening. If the cause turns out to sit elsewhere, we tell you what it is and who handles it, because the visit is worth it either way.
We put it right
Valid claim, we book the repair and carry the cost. We chase the scheduling, and the bill stays with us.
Something moved on a job we finished? Tell us what is happening and when you noticed it, and we will get someone out to look.
