Project Brief

Project Overview

Project Type: Driveway replacement, site regrading, and retaining wall installation

Project Summary

Complete removal and reconstruction of a failed driveway system, including excavation, slope correction, concrete installation, and structural retaining wall integration to improve accessibility, drainage performance, and long-term durability while maintaining existing site aesthetics.

Scope of Work

  • Demolition & Site Preparation:Full removal of existing deteriorated driveway surface, including disposal of failed concrete and base materials to prepare for proper subgrade reconstruction.
  • Excavation & Regrading:Excavation of approximately one yard of soil and rock, followed by precision regrading to reduce slope and improve accessibility for lower-clearance vehicles while maintaining proper drainage flow.
  • Concrete Forming & Installation:Layout, forming, and placement of new concrete driveway, installed with attention to grade, finish, and long-term performance. Existing earthen center strip was preserved to maintain natural drainage and aesthetic continuity.
  • Retaining Wall Construction:Construction of two small retaining walls with proper concrete footings and reinforced rebar support, designed to stabilize adjacent soil and prevent migration into the newly lowered driveway.
  • Drainage Considerations:Integration of existing site conditions into the new layout, ensuring effective water management through preserved earthen strip and controlled grading.
